Since we are stationary this Christmas, we decorated the trailer! We weren’t planning to decorate this year, so everything was packed away in Brian’s parents’ basement. We dug through and found our Christmas stockings, the advent calendar I knit last year, and snowflake lights for indoors. We put up some command hooks, and decorated the kitchen/dining area of the trailer.
We bought a real wreath at a nursery for the door, and two suction cup hooks to fix it to the door window. Our door requires slamming, so it needs to be secure! We were nervous about the wire/metal frame scratching the window, so I sewed felt to the back, just so we don’t have to worry.
Frosty the Snowman, and some lights make the outside look festive! We used command hooks on the outside, too. We even got a Christmas tree from the tree farm.
We are the only trailer decorated in Brighton Recreation Area, but we do have some neighbors. Up to 10 other trailers at a time! There are even some tent campers here and there.
We’ve been sick this holiday season. It started as a cold and turned into bronchitis for Brian and Sinusitis for me. There’s nothing like being sick to make us appreciate the good health we usually enjoy. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
